The agreement adds a new provision that ensures employers provide failure protection equipment and safety vests to workers. In addition, a new provision has been added that hospitals in the tower must have appropriate cabin seats, including, but not not, padded seats, armrests and backrests. The agreement applies to operators who work on cranes and heavy equipment on construction sites across the province and are involved in activities such as steel and mechanical installations, founding chips, Caisson wells and excavations, construction and surveying. EU members voted overwhelmingly in favour of the agreement at ratification meetings across the province on 9 June 2016. The agreement runs from 1 May 2016 to 30 April 2019. It provides for an increase in the money package of a total amount of $3.95 per hour over a three-year value.

Wages increased by $1.35 per hour retroactive to May 27, 2016, by $1.30 per hour $US May 1, 2017 and by $US 1.30 per hour to May 1, 2018. The agreement also includes many language improvements and travel plans, rooms and meals as well as meals have also been increased. No concessions were made by the union.
