Bwdsb Collective Agreement

That is why we have decided that if no provincial collective agreement is reached by that date, all Bluewater District School Board elementary and secondary schools will be concluded for students on Wednesday, January 15, 2020. In the event that a provincial agreement is reached with OSSTF before Wednesday, January 15, 2020, all Bluewater District School Board schools will be open as usual on that day. By wearing red together and participating in the weekly action, teachers, educators, parents and community allies unite to visibly express solidarity, defend public education and defend students. The Bluewater District School Board will be associated with the next round of provincial strikes, scheduled for Wednesday, January 15, 2020. All primary and secondary schools will be open to students as usual, with the resumption of regular classes and activities on Thursday, January 16, 2020. As far as possible, basic activities/events organized during the school day are postponed. School-based co-op placements are cancelled, but external placements continue. There will be no bus transportation for Bluewater District School Board students. Pre- and after-extension day school programs are cancelled. However, third-party child care remains open and evening programs for community education will continue to operate. Share your participation on social media with contributions, group photos or selfies.

Be sure to save the hashtag #RedforEd in your tweets or Facebook posts and email any photos you want to share to communications@etfo.org (provincial office) and etfoblue@bellnet.ca (local Bluewater office). On that day, OSSTF members will participate in a full one-day withdrawal from services, which will have a significant impact on the operation of our secondary and elementary schools. Since there are many extremely important functions that are performed by these different groups of collaborators, a total withdrawal from services will affect our ability to ensure the safety and well-being of our students at all levels of the class. . . .
